ChristCare Small Groups

In a large and growing congregation like ours, how can people stay connected with one another? In a large and growing congregation like ours, how can we ensure that those who need care receive that care? In a large and growing congregation like ours, how can we assimilate new members into the many ministries of our congregation? In a large and growing congregation like ours, how can we help each and every member grow in their Christian life? The answer:  ChristCare® Small Groups.

Care. “Bear one another’s burdens” is the apostle Paul’s message in Galatians 6:2. ChristCare Groups can become the caring arms of Christ—arms that reach out to comfort other group members and share their burdens. Through ChristCare Groups our entire congregation can be “armed” to care and to share Jesus’ love with others—both inside and outside of our congregation.

Gifted. “We have different gifts, according to the grace given us” (Romans 12:6 NIV). All Christians receive gifts from the Holy Spirit, which we are to use in ministry. ChristCare Groups are places where people can discover their own gifts and find ways to use those gifts to serve and bless others. Then the ChristCare groups will be places of encouragement for people who are using their Spirit-given gifts to serve Jesus.

Phenomenal Growth. In the book of Acts we see how the early Christian Church grew by leaps and bounds. That phenomenal growth happened, not because the apostles organized big publicity campaigns or stadium-size events, but because they drew believers into smaller groups that met regularly. Our congregation is following this early church strategy so we can reach out with Christ’s warmth and care to those who don’t know Jesus.

Great Commission. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19 NIV). Jesus’ Great Commission calls us to respond to the needs we see in our world with His life-changing love. ChristCare Groups provide a variety of ways for our members to put their faith into action, to become better disciples, and to help others become faithful disciples of Jesus.

Vision. “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18 KJV). ChristCare small groups can be a primary tool to carry out our vision and mission to “proclaim and demonstrate the love of God in Jesus Christ and to equip people for ministry.” Pray for our shared vision: that we will all see God’s direction more clearly. Pray for our new ChristCare Small Group Ministry: that the Holy Spirit will use our ChristCare Groups to proclaim and demonstrate the love of God and help us to be better equipped for ministry in our congregation and world.

ChristCare Small Groups will help strengthen and grow not only our small group ministry at Trinity but also the other ministries of our congregation. If you are curious about how you could play a part in our ChristCare Small Group ministry, speak to Pastor Michael for more information.
